During this podcast episode, we speak to Buckso Dhillon-Woolley, an international and motivational speaker, host and author who also mentors and coaches spiritual entrepreneurs to develop powerful and effective solutions without sacrificing their core values and beliefs.

Having gone into the world of acting aged 37, Buckso has had a variety of TV and film roles and is now expanding her creativity by diving deeply into her real passion as a speaker. From the stage, she shares her energy and wisdom, which she gained clarity on during an awakening she had in 2020. Her mission is to reveal the diamond in you.

ARE YOU DYING TO SHINE?

  • Buckso starts by sharing the story of her own awakening to the truth that she is a soul and a spirit having a human experience rather than the other way around. Buckso describes the difficult relationship with her father, and the healing that took place after his death. She talks about grieving for the loss of her paternal relationship when she married out of her culture, and then grieving once again when her father died, which brought about a cataclysmic change within her – she felt, as a result, that she became the true version of who she was meant to be on this earth.

  • We discuss the ‘remembering’ of who we really are, our connection to source and the power of opening up and surrendering to higher wisdom. Buckso tells us that she previously turned to masculine energy and ‘doing’ and reacting, rather than recognising herself as a creator. After her awakening, she began training to become a Spiritual Practitioner. She started taking responsibility for, and ownership of, everything she had created in her life by her thoughts and actions up to that point. We discuss our role as creators, and how the old self must sometimes dissolve before we can have these revelations.

  • Buckso explains that we have carbon in our bodies which, when we die, can be made into diamonds. But why, she asked herself at that point, do we have to die in order to shine? Why not shower other people with our brilliance now? Because after all, life can be short! And one day, inevitably, our physical bodies will die.

  • We discuss how we need a bit of ego to function in the 3D world, but Buckso has found a place to operate that comes from love, in particular self-love and service to others. She speaks about how, previously, she would never show vulnerability or ask for help, and how consequently her body shut down and health was declining. She had low self-esteem and felt very alone. We describe how liberating it is to expand your consciousness and gain perspective on the enormity of the universe, and how we have no idea of the enormity that we are as humans!

  • We talk about having a sense of curiosity and fascination about others rather than judgement, and how we want to enable others to feel more connected and open. Buckso says you can’t get there without doing the work and committing to the journey. She describes her excitement at things now becoming clear and the joy she finds in helping others feel the same.

  • Buckso reminds us that, on Earth, the diamond is in yourself. You need to reveal the parts of yourself that you dislike, pity or are ashamed of, because without the darkness or the shadow, we wouldn’t know the light. The universal law of polarity is in play all the time. We need to give and take, and we will enjoy the ‘good’ times more after the ‘bad’.

  • We talk to Buckso about her speaking gigs and how she finds her flow and gets inspiration from a higher place, channelling her truth. She often talks about death because nobody talks about it, but she feels it is so important. We also discuss how, if we add to the fear in the world with our thoughts and our words, we perpetuate the situations of fear and conflict that we see in the world.

  • Sibby describes how she speaks her truth through poetry, and we speak on the power of the mainstream media to influence our opinions – how easily we can be influenced if we don’t open our eyes to the truth. Buckso stresses the importance of being a vibrational match to your job, partner etc, and how she is done with pretence or surface level conversations and being labelled. For her, it’s all about authenticity and going all in, even if you think you might lose clients or friends or even partners along the way.

  • Through teaching and sharing what she has learned through lived experience, Buckso has created a seven stage programme called The Sparkle Effect. It’s a no-fluff, practical process designed to help you step into your own power and live authentically. Buckso has been through all of these seven stages in her own life, and she is now inspired to help others on their journey to find their own inner diamond.
